It is extremely important for us to have strong communication links to ensure you know what is happening in school and so that we can support your child at school.
We provide this in a variety of ways.
We believe in fostering a warm and collaborative environment for our pupils, parents, and staff. Our Open-Door Policy ensures that parents and carers feel welcome to reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Whether you have a query about your child's progress, want to discuss concerns, or simply share feedback, our doors are always open, and we hope that, together, we will create a supportive and thriving school community.
All messages, letters and other school information will be sent to your parent's account on Seesaw.
Your child’s online learning journey is also on Seesaw. This is where we will upload photos and videos of the learning your child is doing, live 'in the moment' for parents, staff and pupils to engage in and comment on. Children and parents are also encouraged to share learning or events outside of school.
You will receive a link to your email from ‘Seesaw’ to activate your parental Seesaw account. Inside the EYFS pack you will find step-by-step instructions to help you set up your Seesaw account.
More information on how to use Seesaw can be found here.
We schedule two formal meetings per year, one in the Autumn and one in the Spring, for parents to meet with the class teacher. Parents are encouraged to attend both evenings, to review their child’s social and emotional progress, along with academic progress and attainment. A record of the main points of these meetings is sent home as well as any follow-up meetings to discuss any support a child may be receiving in school.
At the beginning of each term, we send out a curriculum letter to each year group which gives information about the subject and learning intentions for the term and any ways parents can support this learning at home.
At the end of each academic year, parents will receive an End of Year Report. This will detail information about each child's personal development and their progress and attainment in English and mathematics.
Whole school events and celebrations will be shared on our school Facebook page.
