Core Values and Principles
Our Bel Royal Core Values - Include, Believe, Achieve underpin everything we do.
They represent our school aims, ethos and principles.
At the centre of our school is the firm belief that everyone in our community – pupils, teachers, parents/carers & visitors – share a responsibility for the learning, well-being, safety & enjoyment of everyone at our school through these Core Values.
We aim for:
-
A caring community that trusts and respects people, where we promote inclusive, moral and social values.
-
A focus on positive learning skills and attitudes to enable children to have success.
-
A focus on children being the most successful they can be, and so prepared for their future.
We teach our pupils about our Core Values from Nursery and our reward system, our policies and the way we work each day reflect these values. Staff are expected to work within these principles when interacting with each other, children, parents and the community.
Our Core Values are promoted in many ways through our school.
They are:
-
Displayed in every classroom
-
Discussed and explored as part of the curriculum, especially PSHCE
-
Consolidated through assemblies and celebrated through achievement certificates
-
Embedded within our systems, policies and approaches
-
Exemplified through our reward systems
-
Discussed through story time and books
